For how long is an ESTA VISA valid?

An ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) is valid for a maximum of two years, or until the traveler’s passport expires, whichever comes first. ESTA VISA is valid for multiple entries into the United States during this period. This means that a traveler with a valid ESTA can enter the U.S. multiple times within the two-year period, as long as they are traveling for tourism or business and their stays are 90 days or less each time.

It’s important to note that although ESTA may be valid for two years, it does not guarantee that the traveler will be admitted for that length of time. The admission period is determined by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer at the point of entry and will typically be 90 days or less.

Also, If a traveler’s circumstances change after obtaining an ESTA, it could be revoked. This include if traveler’s answers on ESTA application are no longer true, the traveler’s eligibility status change, the traveler’s criminal record change or other issues.

It’s recommended to check the ESTA status and renew it when needed, and make sure to have a valid ESTA at the time of traveling to the US.
